Your things. Your information.
ItemPassport stores your library on your device, with optional sync through your private iCloud database. This policy explains what is stored, what you choose to share and how deletion works.
Privacy Policy
- Last updated: September 24, 2026. This policy describes ItemPassport and its support website. Changes to data handling will be reflected here.
- You choose the information you add: item names, brand and model, serial numbers, purchase dates and prices, warranty details, notes, categories, photographs, receipts and PDF manuals. These records and files are processed to provide the app’s storage, search, viewing and optional sync features.
- ItemPassport does not sell your personal information. It does not require a separate developer account and does not upload your item library to a developer-operated server.
- If you choose iCloud sync, Apple’s CloudKit service stores and synchronizes your library in the private database associated with your Apple Account. Local-only mode stores the library on that device. Turning sync off does not erase copies already in iCloud or on other devices. Apple’s services and device or iCloud backups are governed by your Apple settings and Apple’s privacy policy.
- Camera and document-scanning features are used when you choose to capture a photo or scan. Photo and file imports use the items you select through system pickers. Relevant permissions are controlled in your device settings. Appearance, language and storage preferences are kept on the device.
- Your item library and attachments are not used for advertising. The current app does not include third-party advertising, tracking or analytics SDKs.
- You can edit your records, move items to Trash, restore them or permanently delete them. Items in Trash become eligible for automatic permanent deletion after 90 days; cleanup runs when the app performs its maintenance. When iCloud sync is active, deletions can sync to your other devices.
- Before switching or reconciling storage modes, the app can write local safety backups of the library. These backups can retain earlier content even after an item is deleted from the active library. Small deletion records are also retained to prevent deleted items from reappearing during sync. Removing an item or disabling sync should not be treated as erasing every backup or device copy.
- Apple may provide app diagnostics and store analytics under its own services and your sharing settings. These are distinct from the contents of your item library. The app has no separate developer-operated analytics SDK.
- For privacy questions or requests, contact support@iteleport.net. When you email support, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send so we can respond. Do not send your item library or personal documents unless they are necessary to explain your request.
- When you visit this website, the hosting server records standard request information such as IP address, time, requested page and browser information to operate the site and investigate problems. The website remembers your language in browser storage and does not use an advertising or third-party analytics service.
