Why do computers no longer effective?

What is a molecular computer
The main difference between the molecular computer is from the classical way of processing data. If in traditional systems, the unit of data is bit, in molecular computers it is any molecule. And if the bit has only 2 States — one or zero, the molecule, in contrast, can be in these two States. When the bit may have information (unit) or not to have it (zero), the molecule may have many such positions, as it is able to simultaneously interact with many other molecules and within each interaction, the result will be different. Roughly speaking, a molecule can simultaneously have as few “units” and “zeros”. This greatly speeds up computation. But there is one problem: heat transfer.
“Heat is a huge issue of molecular computers because the interaction in such systems is a chain of atoms. When a molecule is heated, the atoms vibrate very quickly, and the chain may tear,” says one of the authors Professor, University of Michigan Edgar Meyhofer.
How to create a molecular computer
So far, the heat transfer was impossible to measure, not to mention how to control it. But a group of scientists from USA, Japan, Germany and South Korea managed to do it. During the experiments, scientists realized that the conductivity at the molecular level is changed not as in the macrocosm. If in our world, it increases the growth of the thickness of the material, and the electrical conductivity decreases, the nano-scale with increasing thickness the conductivity of electricity remains the same.
