American company Hypergiant Industries, development of technologies related to artificial intelligence have created a prototype helmet HyperVSR for space suit equipped with system of the projection display, which can be very useful when performing complex space missions. On a transparent visor of this helmet can be displayed, for example, information on the vitals of a human or other data.
According to the Executive Director of the company Hypergiant Industries Ben Lamm, the helmet is able to enhance not only the efficiency of the astronauts, but also their safety, visually displaying vital signs and information to crew members while minimizing the number of unnecessary movements.
Security in space in the first place
“Space is an unpredictable environment where event risk to the safety of your life can be multiplied in a matter of minutes. In such circumstances, it is extremely important to the safety of the astronauts has never been in question. We have developed a helmet that will allow astronauts to quickly obtain important information about the situation, and will be able to monitor their health and to help in making important decisions, even in the case of complex emergencies,” commented Lamm.
Helmet comes with a special compact labels. By placing these labels on the gloves of the suit and looking at one of them, the astronaut will be able to receive information, for example, about their own life indicators, emergency alarms and data in General about passing a mission. Helmet equipped with special sensors that monitor those on which label the man looked, and then outputs the corresponding information on the projection display.
Currently holds Hypergiant revision of software for the helmet, and is actively seeking potentially interested in the development of space agencies and defense contractors.
“Our current prototype has already been demonstrated several representatives of the firms executing the orders of the military departments. A new version of the prototype this summer we are going to demonstrate to state authorities”, — noted in the company.
