Tesla introduced the first home charging station, which can be connected to a wall outlet

It looks like a regular Wall Connector

Today the company is launching new Tesla home charging station designed for the modern home. New Wall Connector the first automaker on the charger in the house that can connect directly to a wall outlet and not diluted by the electric network of the house. The charger can be connected directly using the NEMA 14-50 is the most common high-voltage plugs in the United States.

This is a departure from the previous strategy of Tesla, but it makes sense. Wall Connector will allow house owners to install high voltage charging system in a house without an electrician. Just plug it into the socket.

New charger from Tesla

New Wall Connector offers faster charging time than the Mobile Connector of the second generation, which also goes with plug NEMA 14-50. The new offer provides up to 40 amps most of the Tesla vehicles, while Gen 2 Mobile Connector – 32 amp. And connected to Wall Connector recharges even faster. Tesla wants to write a new product between the two previous chargers: it’s faster, looks prettier, but slower and cheaper than a full built-in solution.

And it looks like new

For $ 500 you can get a complete solution for your electric vehicle. Included is a 12-meter cable, the colors – only silver.

In order for electric vehicles “breathe” full chest, they need extensive and modern infrastructure – filling stations and chargers in homes. At the end of December 2018 Elon Musk promised to spread the network of filling stations Supercharger in Europe in 2019. Responding to a question posed in a tweet, Musk explained that “from Ireland to Kiev, from Norway to Turkey”, in 2019, all of Europe will be equipped with fast charging stations.
